The long wait is over. As per news received so far, the government is all set to issue the notification of the 6th Pay Commission’s recommendation today i.e. Friday, 29th Agust, 2008. All Central Government employees will now be in a better position to know precisely what they are going to get as their final payments. They would be able to know clearly the allowances and other benefits that sixth pay commission awards them. The reports point out that the first installment of arrears will be paid to central government employees in September itself.
Many queries I have received from colleagues, were regarding CPC implementations, as I understand in consultation with senior leaders of ARTEE, employees in Prasar Bhartee, including engineering employees, are on deemed deputation in Prasar Bhartee and will be govern by the article 7.22.20. So recomondations will be applicable to them.
